⚡️ An all-around developer ⚡️
Say hello to Håkon Leinan! Our senior developer has 20 years of experience as a developer and designer. In #ViiMetzum, he reveals a relatively varied soundtrack that suits his life..
– What is your main task at Metzum?
– To create the best user interfaces for our users, as well as to develop and refine Metzum's brand platform.
– What song would you choose for a karaoke night?
– I'd probably go for some older Radiohead from the 90s.
– What did you buy with your very first paycheck?
– Definitely CDs. I remember spending all my confirmation money on a new stereo system with expensive gold plugs and overpriced cables almost as thick as North Sea cables.
– What is your motto in life?
– The meaning of life is to always have to seek the meaning of life. It's not a destination, but a journey.
– How would you describe your workday if you could only use three words?
– Hectic, challenging, and educational.
– What is your superpower? What do you wish it was?
– My superpower is definitely being versatile. But if I could choose a superpower, I would wish I could slow down time and fit more hours into the day.
– What songs make up the soundtrack of your life?
– I think it would start with some French metal, end with something calmer from a singer/songwriter with elements of male falsetto, with a quick detour through German analog electronica.
– Og til sist: And finally: Invoice as a butterfly or invoice as a bee?
– Butterfly. One should be a bit soft (humble) when sending an invoice.

This is Kim Even Dagsvik!Meet our Business Analyst who loves details, spent his first paychecks at the go-kart track, and enjoys cycling. Get to know him better in #ViiMetzum:
What is your most important task at Metzum?
-Visualizing data, solving problems, and keeping customers satisfied.
What song would you choose for a karaoke night?
-If it's a karaoke night with Metzum, it's usually a bit difficult to get a turn. I might get a chance if it's in a duet with Odd Narve. Then we'd go for "It Ain't Me Babe" by Johnny Cash and June Carter, Odd Narve as June Carter.
What did you buy with your very first paycheck?I
- worked at a go-kart center and usually burned most of the paycheck on more go-kart racing. Money went right back into the store there. The rest probably went to Tarantino and Scorsese DVDs. Wasn't old enough to buy beer.
What is your motto in life?
-Hmmmm... I'll go with the same as Baloo in The Jungle Book: Take life as it comes, disregard worries and struggles. (Well, at least worries... There's some struggle as a parent of young children. Worries too, actually...)
How would you describe your workday if you could only use three words?
-Busy, educational, and fun!
What is your superpower? What do you wish it was?
Not sure if I have a superpower... But I'm pretty good at digging into things. Not literally into earth or snow, but into topics and details. If I were to wish for a superpower besides the obvious ones like teleportation, flying, or being super strong, it would be really great not to need sleep! Think of how much you could get done then!
What songs make up the soundtrack of your life?
-It would have to be "Baloo - Ta Livet Som Det Faller Seg" then. Otherwise, Pink Floyd and David Bowie are two big favorites.
And finally: Invoice as a butterfly or invoice as a bee?
-Like a Skipper butterfly. The world's fastest butterfly!
⚡️ – Keep it simple ⚡️
Meet Kjetil Iversen! Our experienced system developer seeks peace in the mountains or in a kayak, and is less likely to be found behind the microphone on karaoke night. Here are his 8 quick questions in #ViiMetzum:
What is your most important task at Metzum?
-To contribute to Metzum delivering value to our customers in a way that elevates both the customer and Metzum.
What song would you choose for a karaoke night?
-Unfortunately, I haven't been endowed with a voice suited for singing, so it's less likely. But I like both the Beatles and Queen so maybe "Hey Jude" or "Don’t Stop Me Now."
What did you buy with your very first paycheck?
-I'm not sure, but my old Volvo 240 had an insatiable appetite for both gas and oil.
What is your motto in life?
-Keep it simple.
How would you describe your workday if you could only use three words?
-Varied, busy, and educational.
What is your superpower? What do you wish it was?
-A superpower I have is getting to work early enough to get a good parking spot. Maybe I wish I could manage to get out in all kinds of weather.
What songs make up the soundtrack of your life?
-Oh – that’s a tough one. I'll try with "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Feel" by Robbie Williams, and "Don’t Stop Me Now" by Queen.
And finally: Invoice as a butterfly or invoice as a bee?

What is your most important task at Metzum?
-To develop the company – building it brick by brick, to quote Monsamjelden.
What song would you choose for a karaoke night?
-One should never underestimate the team-building effect of gathering the entire company in a tight circle, shoulder to shoulder, with candles in the middle and "Lost" by Erlend Bratland playing on the system. So the answer is Lost, in such a slightly unconventional karaoke setting.
What did you buy with your very first paycheck?
-My first "paycheck" was the weekly allowance I got from my parents in early elementary school, for doing more or less all the household chores in my childhood home (as I remember it). What songs make up the soundtrack of your life?
I actually listen to quite a few melancholic and sad songs. Probably because I like to have a little cry sometimes. But generally, I'm a very happy and positive soul, so the choice of soundtrack would have to be of the more cheerful and danceable kind. "Uptown Funk" I think would fit well in the background of my life.
And finally: What is a natural born invoice machine to you?
-A leading question there. There's probably only one correct answer – Moment and the team behind it 😉

What is the invoice machine for you?
-It's the people at Metzum 😊

⚡️The Optimist⚡️
Meet Odd Narve Vassbakk Our cheerful and sporty product manager who isn't shy about fighting for the karaoke microphone. He has been at Metzum since the beginning, and was also present at the meeting that led to what we must be allowed to call the world's most beautiful invoice machine. Wondering what he bought with his first paycheck? Or what a seasoned optimist has as his life motto? Then you must read on in this week’s #ViiMetzum.

-My most important task at Metzum is to build a product department where we look forward to going to work, and through that, elevate both our product and our customers to new heights.
What song would you choose for a karaoke night?
-I try to avoid karaoke nights as much as possible, always having to fight with my good colleague Lisbeth Hjertholm for the microphone there. If I, against all odds, were to win the tug-of-war, it would probably be something simple, like Bohemian Rhapsody or something similar.
What did you buy with your very first paycheck?

-It's not random who gets lucky.
How would you describe your workday if you could only use three words?
-Varied, motivating, and challenging.
What is your superpower? What do you wish it was?
-Optimism. I'm a natural optimist, and I think you go the furthest with that attitude. Not sure if it counts as a superpower? If I had to choose something more traditional, I’d wish I could fly. But that might be a bit too optimistic again.
What songs make up the soundtrack of your life?
-This one is tough, I'm relatively eclectic when it comes to music. I've listened a lot to David Bowie and Tom Waits to name a few. Throw in Queen and Joni Mitchell too. That paints the picture well enough, I think 😉
And finally: what is a natural born invoice machine to you?
-A natural born invoice machine is one that looks forward to my arrival at work so it can tell me that the job is already done, and that I can spend the day on more important things.
⚡️«Det har jeg ikke gjort før, så det klarer jeg helt sikkert!»⚡️

What song would you choose for a karaoke night?

What is your motto in life?"
-I've never done that before, so I'm sure I can do it!"
How would you describe your workday if you could only use three words?
-Challenging, fun, and a bit frustrating. Frustrating because there's so much more we would like to do at the same time!
